Lihiniya Gems' story began in a small, humble room at the back of a family home in the historic "Dutch Fort" in Galle, Southern Sri Lanka. Established in 1983 by retired school teacher Mr. Lahir, the business started as a small family venture. Over the years, Lihiniya Gems has grown into a trusted and renowned name in the gem and jewelry industry, serving customers worldwide with reliability, quality, and exceptional service.
After three decades in business, our loyal customers continue to return for our unique, high-quality offerings. We are proud members of the GIA (Gemmological Institute of America) Alumni Association and are certified Gemmologists, ensuring that our expertise and products meet the highest global standards.
In recent years, we’ve seen a significant rise in demand from Australia, prompting the launch of Lihiniya Gems AU. This expansion allows us to offer local service to our Australian customers, providing them with the same premium gemstones and jewelry at competitive prices. The business is now led by Mr. Lahir’s three sons, with Murshid, one of them, residing in Sydney to oversee and maintain the same level of excellence for our Australian clientele.
